How Can I Help?

Volunteering is one of the most worthy journeys someone can embark upon. Not only can you feel good about what you're doing to help others, but you can serve your community and make a difference in the world around you.

There are multiple ways to volunteer. Tioga County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies and fire departments are ALWAYS looking for new members who have the right attitude and are willing to learn the skills it takes to be safe and help others.

The best way to learn about volunteer EMS and Fire/Rescue agencies is to either contact them directly, or to call the Tioga County Department of Emergency Services (570-724-9110) or email emergencyservices@tiogacountypa.us for more information.

There will be some training involved with any type of volunteer opportunity, but it is almost always free for group members.
Check out our training opportunities here.

The following video talks about the value of volunteering for EMS:

Other ways to volunteer include specialized teams.

  • Are you interested in working with animals? CART
  • Would you be interested in learning about radio communications? TC-ACS
  • Are you interested in being a storm spotter?

Check out these different groups to learn more about how you can become a volunteer for them.
