What training courses are available?
For the training schedule see the app for Android or IOS below. On that schedule, you will find training located in Tioga County as well as some trainings in the bordering counties.
Who can sign up for training courses?
Firefighters, EMS, local emergency management coordinators, law enforcement, County volunteers…
How do I sign up for a training course?
**All law enforcement, EMS and firefighters must have the approval of their Chief in order to submit their application**
- Download and sign up through our mobile app or emulator page
- Email a completed registration form to (emergencyservices@tiogacountypa.us)
- Call our office at 570-724-9110
- Fax a completed registration form to us at 570-724-6819
How much does it cost to attend a training course?
Trainings that require a fee will have the cost included with the course description. Most trainings are offered at no cost to the student.
How will I be notified that I am accepted into a training course?
You will only be notified if the class is FULL or has been cancelled / rescheduled. Otherwise successful registration is all that is required to be accepted to a training course. An email reminder will be sent out to all registered participants 7 - 10 days prior to course date with information or items that students will need to prepare / bring to the class.
How will I be notified if the courses are rescheduled?
Classes are only rescheduled / cancelled if there is not enough enrollments and any participants that are registered should receive a notification approximately seven days prior to course date.
What do I do if I need to drop out of a training course?
Please contact the Tioga County Emergency Services Training Coordinator or the course registration contact person at least 10 days prior to the course date.
Cancellations:
Cancellations will be announced during the update notifications through the Tioga County Training App, Special messages will be put on Facebook, we will also put out a message through the Tioga county 911 center to better alert those effected individuals.
